The goal has always been film and TV work, and finally, all within the past week, I've had the opportunity to spend three astounding days on set with some of the very best in the industry. I've learned more about on-camera work in the past week than I ever did in the past two years at acting school, not that the time I spent there was wasted, but there is only so much you can do in a classroom setting. But when you get to a huge multi-million dollar production, you have to be on top of everything. You have to see wardrobe, hair and makeup, you've got to know your marks when you get to set, and you've got to be prepared to spend hours doing the same take over and over again from different angles. Even the principle actors went through these motions. I was lucky enough to sit closest to the principle actor's table where their scene was being shot to observe, learn, and absorb the whole experience, and I was astounded that these legends did the same exact take over...and over...and over again. At least 20 times. Needless to say, it was the most exhilarating time, and I'm excited for what's next.
